Chad Poznanski, of CAP Construction LLC, has been on the Columbia Basin Student Homebuilders Program job site for the last two weeks. He is assisting students with tile work in the entryway and bathrooms, as well as general contracting work on the decks and accent shake siding.

Poznanski feels a personal benefit of his involvement is knowing that the students involved are the region’s future. “Hermiston can grow,” he said. “The city motto is becoming a reality.”

Poznanski has operated CAP Construction LLC since 2009. To learn his trade skills, he worked in the evenings, after taking classes during the day. “If I could spread one message, it would be to encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity now, while in school,” commented Chad.

Poznanski also serves an assistant baseball coach for the high school. Prior to living in Hermiston, he spent time in Seattle, where he has partnered with other volunteer organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.
